Kate Jackson

MChiro, DC LRCC - Doctor of Chiropractic

Hi, I’m Kate

Before becoming a chiropractor, I spent 15 years working as an administrator in the finance sector. During that time, I experienced first-hand the impact that stress and a sedentary lifestyle can have on the body. Spending long hours sitting in the same position, I developed postural issues, joint dysfunction and muscle strain, which ultimately led to chronic back pain. Although I was a regular runner and swimmer, being a “weekend warrior” exacerbated these problems and led to further injuries.

Over several years, I received care from a number of allied health practitioners, but my injuries never completely resolved. I had reached a point where I thought no therapy could help, until a friend introduced me to chiropractic.

What stood out to me about chiropractic was the time taken to understand the bigger picture. A thorough clinical history and physical examination helped me understand the factors contributing to my symptoms and led to an appropriate treatment plan. The combination of hands-on treatment, posture, lifestyle and exercise advice helped reduce my pain and symptoms and allowed me to return to the activities I loved.

It was the first time I felt that a therapy had truly made a difference, and it inspired me to change career so I could help others in the same way. After four years of study at the Anglo-European College of Chiropractic (AECC), I graduated with a Master of Chiropractic with Distinction.

I have always enjoyed travelling, exploring new places and living in different areas, which led me to move north from Bournemouth to Yorkshire. Outside the clinic, I enjoy spending time with family and friends, walking in the countryside, and playing padel.
